Four Dog Resort & Spa Policies
At Four Dog Resort & Spa, your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are our top priorities. Our policies are designed to ensure a secure, clean, and enjoyable environment for every guest. We ask all pet parents to review these guidelines so together we can provide the best possible experience for your furry family members.
To ensure the safety of all dogs, owners, and staff, all dogs must remain on a leash at all times during drop-off and pick-up.
- Dogs must be securely leashed before exiting your vehicle and remain leashed until they are safely inside the daycare.
- During pick-up, please keep your dog on leash until you are securely inside your vehicle.
- Retractable leashes are discouraged, as they can be difficult to control in high-traffic areas.
- If you need assistance with leashing or handling your dog, please let a staff member know—we are happy to help.
This policy helps prevent accidents, escapes, and unwanted interactions in the parking lot and entryway. Thank you for keeping our daycare safe and calm for everyone!
To ensure smooth transitions, we ask all clients to message our work phone upon arrival for drop-off and pick-up.
How it works:
- When you arrive for drop off or pick up, please text our work phone to let us know you’re here.
- A staff member will meet you at your car when it’s your turn.
Why we do this:
- Helps us avoid crowding in the lobby and parking lot
- Thank you for helping us make drop-off and pick-up safe, smooth, and enjoyable for everyone!
The health and safety of all dogs in our care is our highest priority. To reduce the risk of spreading contagious illnesses (such as kennel cough, canine flu, or parasites), any dog who has recently attended another daycare, boarding, training, or grooming facility must wait 7 days before returning to Four Dog Resort & Spa.
Policy Details:
- A 7-day waiting period is required after visiting any other dog care facility.
- This applies to daycare, boarding, grooming, training centers, or any environment where dogs from multiple households gather.
- During this time, owners should monitor their dogs for any signs of illness, such as coughing, sneezing, diarrhea, or lethargy.
- Dogs showing symptoms of illness must remain home until cleared by a veterinarian.
This policy helps us maintain a healthy, safe, and stress-free environment for every dog in our care. Thank you for working with us to keep our community well!
Before you can book your dogs stay, we require a trial night to ensure that your dog does well in our facility. If the trial night does not go well for any reason we have the right to decline further bookings. We do this to make sure your dog is comfortable and safe while they are being cared for.
If your dog is destructive during their boarding stay that causes damage to the boarding sheds, Four Dogs Resort and Spa has the right to invoice you an additional charge to cover damages.
Before your dog can have a blast in daycare, we require an evaluation/tour of the facility. If all goes well, we can schedule a trial day to make sure your dog does well in a group setting and have fun!
We try to be as accommodating of schedules as we can with our pick up time of 3:30-5:30pm. When picking up for daycare, for every 10 minutes you are late after the window, an additional $25 will be added to your bill.
Here at Four Dog Resort and Spa we prioritize the health and safety for all dogs in our daycare program. If at any point of time your dog becomes problematic and/or dangerous to have within the daycare yard towards staff and/or other dogs, the owner will be given a verbal warning followed by removal from daycare if the behaviors continue. This allows for us to ensure that the dogs and staff remain happy, safe, and healthy while here!
Boarding: We require a 24 hours notice to cancel your reservation for boarding. If the reservation is not canceled before this window, an invoice for 1 night of boarding will be charged.
Daycare: We require a 24 hours notice to cancel your scheduled daycare day. If the booking is not canceled before this window, the owner will be charged for the daycare day in full.
We maintain a small group of dogs with similar temperament to facilitate a safe and engaging environment. In order to manage these groups effectively, it is essential that we have proper staffing to properly care for your pups. We understand the unexpected circumstances can arise, but we kindly request that you provide a 24 hours notice so we have the opportunity to fill your spot and allow for proper staffing.
To simplify the billing process, we require the payment by the end of each week or day. This is to ensure that we keep everyone up-to-date.
For the safety of your dogs and families, we require the following vaccinations:
- Rabies
- DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza and parvovirus)
- Bordetella (kennel cough)
- Proof of clean fecal (including giardia) once a year
In addition, please ensure that your dog is on flea and tick control year-round.
* For puppies 12 weeks, we only require proof of clean fecal and the first distemper and Pavo vaccination as we feel the benefits of socializing your young puppy far outweighs the potential risks of not being fully vaccinated*
